Twitter hilariously trolls Pujara’s first run in 54 balls

India’s number 3 batsman Cheteshwar Pujara was at the crease fifteen minutes into the match after opener KL Rahul went back to the pavilion for a duck. After getting run-out twice in the second Test, Pujara seemed extremely cautious. So much so that he took 54 balls to get off-the-mark. The bowlers teased Pujara outside the off stump and he happy kept leaving the balls. Finally after about 80 minutes Pujara’s wait for a run ended as he flicked the ball towards the on-side off Lungi Ngidi for a single. With this Pujara achieved a rare feat as he became the second slowest Indian to get off the mark in Test cricket.

New Delhi: The Test series against South Africa has been a struggle for the Indian team particularly for the batsmen. In the final Test at Johannesburg, the Proteas quicks yet again tested the Indian top order. A fine bowling display made the batting line-up struggle for runs in the first session of Day 1.
