The Sri Lankan cricket board which was earlier sacked by the sports minister Roshan Ranasinghe, has been reinstated by the court, as per AFP report. The Sri Lanka Court cancelled the decision of the sports minister to sack the nation and restored the suspended officials on Tuesday after a full hearing.

The court also accepted a petition by board president Shammi Silva challenging minister Roshan Ranasinghe's decision on Monday to sack the Sri Lanka Cricket Board and appoint an interim committee.

"The restoring of the board is for two weeks when the court will hear the case again," a court official was quoted as saying in the AFP report.

"The restoring of the board is for two weeks, when the court will hear the case again," a court official said.

The government has also asked for a cabinet committee to look after "outstanding issues" of the board. Arjuna Ranatunga who led the Island nation to lift the 1996 World Cup title had taken an oath to clean up the board alongside rebuilding the national team after taking over the onus on Monday.

"Sri Lanka Cricket had become known as the most corrupt institution in the country," Ranatunga said on Monday.

Talking about the game between India and Sri Lanka, the Men in Blue outclassed Sri Lanka by 302 runs at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday. Mohammed Shami was the star with the ball, picking up a five-wicket haul. Earlier, on the back of half-centuries from Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, and Shreyas Iyer, the Indian team ended up putting in a daunting total of 357/8 against Sri Lanka.

In reply, The Sri Lankan batters looked clueless as they completely failed to decode the Indian bowlers as they were bundled out for just 55 runs.
