Sreesanth Gets Notice From Legends League Cricket Over 'Fixer' Row With Gautam Gambhir
The umpires also submitted their reports of the controversy and there was nothing mentioned about Sreesanth’s claims of calling him a ‘fixer’.
Amidst a controversy between Gautam Gambhir and Sreesanth, the Legends League Cricket (LLC) commissioner came up with a legal notice to Sreesanth. As per the former India speedster’s allegations, Gautam Gambhir called him ‘fixer’ during the Eliminator game between India Capitals and Gujarat Giants on Wednesday, December 6.
The notice stated that Sreesanth was found guilty of breaking his contract while playing in the T20 tournament. The notice also said that the discussions with the pacer would get initiated only after he removes the videos where he criticised the player within the preview of the league.
The umpires also submitted their reports of the controversy and there was nothing mentioned about Sreesanth’s claims of calling him a ‘fixer’. Previously, the Kerala-based player posted a couple of videos where he condemned Gambhir for his derogatory remarks during the game. The former speedster said that Gambhir’s behavior was rude and he provoked him.
“Just wanted to clear some air on what happened with Mr. Fighter, who always fights with all his colleagues for no reason whatsoever. He doesn’t even respect his own senior players, including Viru bhai and a lot of people. That’s exactly what happened today. Without any provocation, he just kept on calling me, something which is very rude and something which should not have been said by Mr. Gautam Gambhir,” Sreesanth had said.
In reply, Gambhir also shared a cryptic message on his social media handle and wrote, “Smile when the world is all about attention!”
Sreesanth’s wife also supported her husband by saying, "It is so shocking to hear from Sree that a player who has played for India with him for many years can stoop to this level. Even after so many years of retirement from active cricket. After all upbringing matters a lot and it shows up when this kind of behaviour comes up on ground. Shocking truly shocking”.
