Shafali Verma Clears Class 12th Board Exam, Shares Marksheet With Fans
It has been an exhilarating year for Shafali as she kickstarted this year by leading the India U-19 team to a title win in the inaugural T20 World Cup.
India’s explosive batter Shafali Verma is in the headline again but not because of her heroics with the bat instead she passed class 12th with great grades. The young India batter took to her Instagram handle and posted her mark sheet.
"2023 mei ek aur bohot special 80+ smash kiya, but iss baar 12th boards mei! I am very happy with my results and can’t wait to give my all to my favourite subject - cricket!" she captioned the post.
The right-hand batter appeared in the exams despite her busy cricket schedule and passed them with flying colors. It has been an exhilarating year for Shafali as she kickstarted this year by leading the India U-19 team to a title win in the inaugural T20 World Cup. She concluded the tournament as the third-highest run-getter. Indian team outplayed England by 7 wickets in the ICC Women's U19 T20 World Cup final in Potchefstroom.

“The way all the girls are performing and backing each other, so happy. Incredible feeling. Thanks to the staff, the way they have been backing us everyday and telling us that we are here for the cup and because of them we are here. All thanks to them. The players have been backing me a lot,” Shafali said after winning the title.
“Thanks to BCCI for giving me this beautiful team and really happy for winning the cup. She (Shweta Sehrawat) has been excellent and has followed all the plans of the staff. Not just her, Archana, Soumya and I can't really take the names but they all have been incredible,” she added.
After having a great Junior World Cup, she joined the Indian senior team in South Africa for the senior T20 World Cup where the squad that reached the semi-final. Because of her great bating run, she was roped in by the Delhi Capitals for Rs 2 crore in the inaugural season of the Women's Premier League. Verma amassed 252 runs in 9 matches with a strike rate of 185.29.
