During South Africa's innings, in the 19th over bowled by England's Sam Curran, David Miller anticipated a full toss to be called a no ball. When the umpire did not make this call, Miller requested a review, which was not permissible under the circumstances.

The South African batter showed disagreement with the umpire's decision, leading to him violating Article 2.8 of the ICC Code of Conduct.

South Africa set a target of 163 runs for six wickets in 20 overs, led by Quinton de Kock's 65-run innings. Despite Brook's 53 off 37 balls, England couldn't chase down the target, losing crucial wickets in the final over, resulting in their defeat.

England managed to score 156 runs for loss of six wickets in 20 overs. Kagiso Rabada and Keshav Maharaj were instrumental for South Africa, each claiming two wickets.
