During South Africa's innings, in the 19th over bowled by England's Sam Curran, David Miller anticipated a full toss to be called a no ball. When the umpire did not make this call, Miller requested a review, which was not permissible under the circumstances.

The South African batter showed disagreement with the umpire's decision, leading to him violating Article 2.8 of the ICC Code of Conduct.

David Miller has been reprimanded following his actions, marking his first offense within a 24-month period. He opted to accept the penalty imposed by match officials, avoiding the necessity for a formal hearing.

South Africa Defeats England, Gets Over The Line In Yet Another Close Game

South Africa claimed a thrilling win over defending champions England in T20 World Cup 2024 Super 8 clash in Saint Lucia on Friday, maintaining their unbeaten record in the ongoing tournament.

England fell short by seven runs despite Harry Brook's half-century and Liam Livingstone's aggressive batting. South Africa set a target of 163 runs for six wickets in 20 overs, led by Quinton de Kock's 65-run innings. Despite Brook's 53 off 37 balls, England couldn't chase down the target, losing crucial wickets in the final over, resulting in their defeat.

England managed to score 156 runs for loss of six wickets in 20 overs. Kagiso Rabada and Keshav Maharaj were instrumental for South Africa, each claiming two wickets.

South Africa's win over England significantly boosted their chances for semi-finals. With their second consecutive win in the Super 8s stage, South Africa now leads Super 8s Group 2 points table with four points from two matches. Meanwhile, England holds third place in the group with two points, having won one match out of two.
