Vaibhav Suryavanshi's Record-Breaking Ton Powers RR To 8-Wicket Win Over GT

The 166-run partnership between Suryavanshi and Jaiswal is now the highest-ever partnership for any wicket for Rajasthan Royals.

In an electrifying display of batting, 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi (38-balls 101) made history by scoring the second-fastest century in IPL history, reaching the landmark in just 35 balls. His fiery innings, combined with a 166-run partnership with Yashasvi Jaiswal, led Rajasthan Royals (RR) to a 8-wicket win over Gujarat Titans (GT) in Jaipur.

The 166-run partnership between Suryavanshi and Jaiswal is now the highest-ever partnership for any wicket for Rajasthan Royals, surpassing the previous record of 155 runs set by Jos Buttler and Devdutt Padikkal against Delhi Capitals at Wankhede in 2022.

Fastest Centuries in IPL History:

30 balls – Chris Gayle (RCB vs PWI, Bengaluru, 2013)

35 balls – Vaibhav Suryavanshi (RR vs GT, Jaipur, 2025)

37 balls – Yusuf Pathan (RR vs MI, Mumbai, 2010)

38 balls – David Miller (PBKS vs RCB, Mohali, 2013)

GT's impressive show with bat

Gujarat Titans put up an impressive show with the bat, posting 209/4 against Rajasthan Royals after being sent in to bat first. Captain Shubman Gill led from the front with a fiery 84, while Jos Buttler smashed an unbeaten half-century to ensure a strong finish.

The Titans got off to a strong start thanks to an impressive opening stand between Shubman Gill and Sai Sudarshan. The duo stitched together a 93-run partnership for the first wicket. Sai Sudarshan looked composed during his 39 off 30 balls before Mahesh Theekshana broke the stand.

Gill continued to dominate, anchoring the innings with a classy 84 off 50 deliveries, which included 5 fours and 4 sixes. His dismissal came against Sandeep Sharma, but by then, he had already set up Gujarat for a big score.

Jos Buttler then took charge in the final overs, hammering an unbeaten 50 off just 26 balls to push Gujarat past the 200-run mark. Shahrukh Khan provided good support with a quick 5* off 2 balls.

For Rajasthan, Mahesh Theekshana was the standout bowler, claiming 2 wickets. Jofra Archer and Sandeep Sharma took one wicket each but failed to stem the flow of runs.
