A frustrated Rashid Khan angrily threw his bat after his batting partner, Karim Jannat, refused to take a run during the 20th over of Afghanistan's innings.

AFG vs BAN Super 8 match highlights: Afghanistan skipper Rashid Khan lost his cool during ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 Super 8 match between Bangladesh and Afghanistan at the Arnos Vale, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines on Tuesday (June 25). 

Rashid Khan's frustration was evident when he angrily threw his bat after his batting partner, Karim Jannat, refused to take a run during the 20th over of Afghanistan's innings.

Rain interrupts BAN vs AFG Super 8 match for third time

Bangladesh required 16 runs from 22 balls to win after rain reduced the match to 19 overs, setting their target at 114 runs to secure win.

Here's what will happen if Afghanistan vs Bangladesh T20 World Cup Super 8 match is called off due to rain: Afghanistan need a win to join India as the two semifinalists from Group 1 to qualify for T20 World Cup 2024 semifinal. If AFG vs BAN match gets called off due to rain, Afghanistan will qualify for semis due to their better net run rate, knocking out Australia and Bangladesh in the process.

Earlier, Afghanistan opted to bat first after winning the toss. Opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz top-scored for Afghanistan with a 43-run innings, helping them post 115/5 in 20 overs.
