PSL Relocated To Dubai Amid India-Pakistan Tensions

The official announcement regarding the revised dates and venues is expected to be made soon.

The remainder of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been shifted to Dubai amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, IANS reported. The official announcement regarding the revised dates and venues is expected to be made soon.

Pakistan attempted to target multiple locations across India, but the Indian Army successfully foiled the attacks. In response, India launched a series of drone strikes on several major cities in Pakistan.

One of India's drones reportedly crashed near Pakistan's Rawalpindi Stadium, leading to the cancellation of Pakistan Super League (PSL) match scheduled for Thursday, May 8 between Babar Azam's Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings.

With only eight matches remaining in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 - including four playoff fixtures - the tournament faces uncertainty following growing tensions in the region.

On Thursday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) held an emergency meeting in Islamabad, during which PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi reportedly spoke with several foreign players. According to sources, some overseas cricketers have expressed concerns over safety and are considering leaving the league.

The ripple effect of the conflict has also reached the Indian Premier League (IPL). On the same night, IPL 2025 match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals, scheduled in Dharamshala, was abruptly canceled.

Cross-border shelling from Pakistan impacted Jammu and surrounding areas, triggering a blackout at the stadium and forcing officials to call off the match. This incident marks the first time in Indian Premier League (IPL) history that a game has been canceled due to a national emergency.
