Prithvi undergoes MRI scans on injured right hand

Shaw was first hit during the Hyderabad Test against West Indies. Shaw was again in distress during the Vijay Hazare Trophy

Team India batting sensation Prithvi Shaw underwent MRI scans on Tuesday evening on his right shoulder and elbow after getting hit in the Deodhar Trophy match against India B.

The result of the MRI is still awaited but holds a lot of significance as the team for the remaining three ODIs, India Test team to Australia and India A tour to New Zealand is likely to be announced.  Shaw is likely to miss the next game against India C tomorrow at the Kotla.

Shaw was hit by a Deepak Chahar delivery on his elbow just moments after he appeared to struggle with his backlift and appeared in pain with his right shoulder. Shaw was first hit during the Hyderabad Test against West Indies. Shaw was again in distress during the Vijay Hazare Trophy, prompting the BCCI to answer alarm bells.
