Pietersen's wrong tweet spells doom for both him and Shastri

Pietersen's wrong tweet spells doom for both him and Shastri

New Delhi: Twitteratis were at their best with their fresh new target, former England skipper Kevin Pietersen. Ahead of the first Test between Sri Lanka and India, newly appointed head coach, Ravi Shastri posted pictures of him sitting with skipper Virat Kohli, and one from the warm-up matches, with a caption that read: “Back to business with a great bunch #TeamIndia #SLvIND”.

Kevin Pieterson replied to the tweet, stating: “Head coach again buddy?” and seemed to be unaware that while Shastri had accompanied the team on various tours, he had never done so in the capacity of a head coach.

This was all that was needed to set the twitterati on fire. And while they took a dig at Pieterson for not knowing the facts, they brutally trolled Shastri for taking over the role in the controversial manner and Kohli for playing a part in it as well.

Ravi Shastri was appointed as the head coach of Team India after much drama and the resignation of Anil Kumble in the aftermath of issues with Indian captain Kohli.
