PAK vs WI: West Indies Won't Cancel Pakistan Tour, Indicates CEO

The West Indies, led by Jason Mohammed, visited Pakistan three years ago for three T20 matches in Karachi. He now has to go on a tour of Pakistan to play three ODIs and three T20S at the end of 2021.

West Indies will not cancel Pakistan tour: New Zealand and England canceled their tour of Pakistan and dealt a severe blow to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). But there is good news for the Pakistan team and its fans from the West Indies. The Cricket West Indies assured the Pakistan Cricket Board that it plans to honour its tour commitment in December this year. CWI CEO Johnny Grave said the governing body of the game in the Caribbean has no intention of not fulfilling the tour obligations.

"Our intention is to fulfill our tour obligations," Grave told Trinidad News Day. We have a very clear process that we go through with independent security experts, as we did in 2018." Let us tell you that the West Indies, led by Jason Mohammed, visited Pakistan three years ago for three T20 matches in Karachi.

Grave said, "We'll follow that process. The Board of Directors, WIPA (West Indies Players Association), as well as players themselves will review their own plans and our report, including independent security advice. Most of our women's and men's players have played in Pakistan in the last few years."

He further added, "We will first go through the process with PCB and security experts. We will meet with players to answer any questions and give them all the information. We're just at the beginning of that process." Let us tell you that the West Indies have to play three ODIs and three T20 matches in Pakistan.
