NZ vs ENG, ICC World Cup 2019, Final: The World Awaits New Champion

This is England's best chance to win the World Cup and that too, at home. They have a dream team and blossom in almost every department

Finally, the day has come when the entire world will witness a new World Champion of ODI cricket. A title-starved England set to lock horns with New Zealand's feisty Black Caps in a World Cup final at the home of cricket, Lord’s on Sunday. Never ever had an England limited overs team fired the imagination of cricket loving public in general with their aggressive brand of cricket like the current one, the turnaround that started after their exit at the group league stage of the 2015 World Cup. New Zealand, on the other hand, have banked on a committed bunch of individuals with a quiet yet assertive leader in stylish Kane Williamson, who would like to go one better than his predecessor Brendon McCullum during the last edition. New Zealand The Kiwis will once again look up to their in-form skipper Kane Williamson to do the bulwark with the bat. With 548 runs in 8 innings, Williamson is the fifth highest run-getter in the ongoing World Cup and will surely look to build on his consistent form. However, their batting has been their weakness in the tournament. Besides the skipper, none of the other batsmen have scored consistently. They also have a habit of choking under pressure. They will be relying highly on their pace bowling battery and Williamson's imperious batting repertoire, New Zealand can dream of winning their first World Cup provided the others join the party. England Their opening pair of Jonny Bairstow and Jason Roy have wreaked havoc and they can take the game away from the opposition in a matter of 20 overs. England's bowling with the effervescent Jofra Archer, Chris Woakes and Mark Wood also seem potent. Ben Stokes has been brilliant so far and the all-rounder will look to bring his best to the table in the crucial clash. Squads: England: Eoin Morgan (captain), Moeen Ali, Jofra Archer, Jonny Bairstow, Jos Buttler (wk), Tom Curran, Liam Dawson, Liam Plunkett, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, Jason Roy, Ben Stokes, James Vince, Chris Woakes, Mark Wood. New Zealand: Kane Williamson (captain), Martin Guptill, Colin Munro, Ross Taylor, Tom Latham (wk), Tom Blundell, Colin de Grandhomme, Jimmy Neesham, Trent Boult, Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry, Mitchell Samtner, Henry Nicholls, Tim Southee, Ish Sodhi.
