Mumbai: Indian captain Virat Kohli is back in Mumbai after the Indian Premier League was postponed. The IPL governing council informed about the decision of 'indefinite suspension' of the tournament. On returning back to Mumbai Virat Kohli has stepped up to work for the relief of Covid-19 patients.

He started his work on Wednesday, just a day after the announcement of the suspension of IPL. Yuva Sena member, Rahul Kanal posted images with Virat Kohli where Virat Kohli is seen planning the strategy to save lives amid Covid-19.

But this isn't something that Virat is doing out of the blue. His wife, Anushka Sharma informed that she and Virat are going to initiate a Covid-19 relief movement.

In an Instagram video, Anushka said: "Virat and I are coming together to do our bit, we will share details soon so that you can also become a part of this movement. We are in this together. Stay safe and take care."

Kohli has also been actively talking about helping the people in crisis. "RCB has identified key areas where much-needed help is required immediately in healthcare infrastructure related to Oxygen support in Bangalore and other cities and will be making a financial contribution towards this," Kohli said in a video posted by RCB.

"The RCB is going to be sporting a special Blue jersey in one of the upcoming matches with key messaging on our match kits to pay our respect and show solidarity to all the front line heroes who have spent the majority of last year wearing PPE kits & leading the fight against the pandemic," Virat concluded.
