No place for Rayudu in Duleep Trophy after skipping Yo-Yo test

.

Ambati Rayudu has received another big blow in his career after the Board of Control for Cricket in India announced the India ‘A’ and ‘B’ squads and three others for Duleep Trophy. Despite getting over 600 runs for in the recently concluded IPL season, Rayudu firstly got dropped from India ODI squad for England and now these squads.

Rayudu failed the Yo-Yo fitness test which led him out of the Indian team. And as per the reports, the aftermath of the same resulted in his ousting from other squads announced by the BCCI.

The reports claimed that Rayudu failed to appear for the Yo-Yo test in the six-week time given by the Indian cricket board (BCCI) after getting dropped from the England tour. He stated that he needed some more time as he hasn’t taken any rest since then. Meanwhile, the board has reportedly asked the selectors not to opt for players whose fitness was not up to the mark.

Rayudu recently returned from England where he has been as the mentor of the Junior Super Kings team. He has also asked two weeks’ time to appear for the Yo-Yo test, hoping to make himself available for Asia Cup in September.
