Chennai Super Kings kicked off preparations for IPL 2020 by starting their intense training to prepare hard for the T20 tournament. MS Dhoni-led franchise is the last team to start their training as the three-time champions received a major setback on their arrival in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). CSK's two players and some of their staff members tested positive for the dreaded Covid-19. More trouble emerged for the franchise after two of their senior players, Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh decided to pull out of the tournament.

One of the most successful teams in IPL history, Chennai Super Kings will lock horns with defending champions Mumbai Indians in the tournament opener at Abu Dhabi on September 19.

The upcoming season will also mark the return of one of the league's greatest cricketers in MS Dhoni, who took a self imposed break post India's heart-breaking exit from the 2019 ICC World Cup semi final against New Zealand.

Much to the fans delight, CSK's two senior players MS Dhoni and Shane Watson are looking in great form as the duo can be seen going ballistic in the net session. Both star performers are very important for the franchise as they heavily rely on them. This year, CSK will aim to win their fifth IPL title.
