MPL 2024: The Maharashtra Premier League 2024 is off to a start and after 8 matches, the race for qualification for semi finals is getting tougher for all the sides. So far in the league, only Ratnagiri Jets and Eagle Nashik Titans are unbeaten in the league and both the sides will be aiming to lock in the top slots to ensure their berth for Qualifier 1. Raigad Royals were the only winless side alongside Kolhapur Tuskers in the league, but that changed after Match 8, as the Vishant More-led side defeated Ruturaj Gaikwad's Puneri Bappa by 70 runs to register first points of the season.

Mehul Patel of Raigad Royals starred in Match 8, as he was awarded the 'Man of the Match' award for his swashbuckling innings of 83 off 33, which included 7 sixes. In the bowling department, Tanay Sangwani starred for the Royals with the figures of 3/24 in his 4 overs, and was complemented by the likes of Vicky Ostwal and Nikhil Kadam, as the duo grabbed two wickets each to put the game to bed.
