MLC 2024 Updated Points Table & Most Runs, Wickets List: Washington Freedom locked horns with Texas Super Kings in the fifth match of the Major League Cricket (MLC) 2024 season at the Church Street Park in Morrisville on July 9 (as per Indian Standard Time). The match got abandoned in the end but not before yielding a swashbuckling show of batting, as the Church Street Park stadium witnessed as many as 26 boundaries and 12 sixes being hit in 24 overs of play that could be allowed before the rains interrupted.
Faf du Plessis-led Texas Super Kings posted a huge total of 203-5 in 20 overs on the back of skipper’s brilliant 58-ball 100. Chasing the big total, Steve Smith-led Washington Freedom continued the batting show as they started brilliantly, with Smith and Travis Head opening for the team. In just four overs, they were 62-0 in four overs before the rains stopped the play. Both teams shared one point each, which resulted in Freedom going atop the MLC 2024 Points Table with three points in two matches.
