Mithali Raj's Mic Drop Reply To Fan Who Mocked Her For 'Defensive Mindset'

Back in June 2022, Mithali Raj declared her retirement from cricket.

Former India skipper Mithali Raj hammered a fan who attempted to troll her citing her defensive mindset. One of the fans tried to mock Mithali by comparing her to Kevin Pietersen's approach in ODI cricket. The user tweeted that the former England player encouraged the team to make 350 runs in the ODI match while Mithali was happy with 280.

After seeing the tweet, Mithali came up with a solid reply and she said "The only "mindset" reflected in this tweet is yours."

Back in June 2022, Mithali Raj declared her retirement from cricket. The legendary player then went on to join Gujarat Giants as a mentor and advisor for the inaugural edition of the WPL.

"The inaugural season of the Women's Premier League is a fantastic move for women's cricket and the involvement of the Adani Group is a massive boost for the sport as well," said Mithali.

When it comes to women's cricket, Mithali Raj is a legend. Keeping in mind her numbers, she is the flag bearer of India women’s cricket. Raj has a record for scoring the most runs in international cricket, making 10,868 runs in 333 matches. She also holds the feat for scoring the most runs in 50 over format as she amassed  7805 runs in 232 ODIs, including seven hundreds.

The former India batter registered 64 fifties in her career, which is the most by any player in women's ODIS. She is also the youngest player to score a hundred in ODI. She was 16 years old when she made a century as she played the knock of unbeaten 114 against Ireland in 1999. Mithali is also the youngest women cricketer to collect a double hundred in Tests, making 214 against England at Taunton in 2002 at the age of 19 years and 254 days.

She played for India in six World Cups which is the most by any player in women's cricket history. Mithali's illustrious career stretched for over 22 years.
