Kedar Jadhav's Father Found After Going Missing From Pune Home
Kedar's complaint mentioned that his 75-year-old father suffers from dementia.
Pune: Hours after India cricketer Kedar Jadhav's father Mahadev Jadav was found missing from their Puine home on Monday, a PTI report citing a police statement has confirmed that the 75-year-old has been found. Notably, the out of favour Team India batter had registered a police complaint at the Alankar police station on Monday which mentioned that his father, who suffers from dementia, had left their Kothrud home for a morning walk but went missing after that.
As per the report, he was last seen leaving the gates of their housing complex. However, Mahadev Jadhav was found from the Mundhwa area, the police official has stated as per the same PTI report.
"His condition is fine and he has been reunited with his family," Senior Inspector Ajit Lakde of Mundhwa police station was quoted by the news agency.
Kedar has donned the Indian national colours in as many as 73 ODIs and 9 T20Is, scoring 1389 runs and 122 runs respectively. He was also used by MS Dhoni as a part-time bowling option and has 27 wickets to his credit from 42 innings along in ODI cricket. In domestic cricket, he plays for the Maharastra Ranji Trophy side.
In IPL, Jadhav has played 93 matches to date, scoring 1196 runs with a highest score of an unbeaten 69. However, with dipping form neither has he been part of the Indian national team setup, last playing an ODI for India in 2020, nor has he failed to impress the franchises in the IPL.
Jadhav was ignored by all the 10 participating franchises and hence wasn't part of the final list of players that were auctioned ahead of IPL 2023. The cricketer has been part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Daredevils, Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad squads in the IPL. He would look to have a better show in domestic cricket to get a chance to play in the IPL once again.
