Jay Shah Net Worth: How 'Honorary' BCCI Secretary & ICC Chairman-Elect Built Wealth Of Over 100 Crores

Jay Shah is now the youngest-ever International Cricket Council (ICC) chairman in the history of cricket. Here's a look at his estimated net worth.

Jay Shah is not only one of the most recognizable faces in the realm of cricket in India but also in the whole world. And he will stamp that authority when he assumes the role of the next International Cricket Council (ICC) chairman from December 1, 2024. He was elected unopposed as the next ICC chairman on August 27 (Tuesday) and will replace the current chairman Greg Barclay of New Zealand.

Shah will now be the youngest-ever ICC chairman at the age of 36, when he takes up the role. This comes after Greg Barclay announced a few days earlier that he will not be seeking a third term and will step down from the post after the conclusion of his tenure.

Jay Shah has been one of the most, if not the most, influential figure in the sports administration arena. The current Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary has been at the helm of Indian apex cricket board since 2019. Notably, he has been an 'honorary' member of the BCCI and hence doesn't receive a regular salary. With an even bigger role awaiting Shah, let’s take a look at his estimated net worth.

What Is The Net Worth Of Jay Shah?

As reported by Times Now, Jay Shah's estimated net worth is ₹124 crore. Beyond his cricket-related earnings, Shah generates significant income from various business ventures. The same report also says that he has served as a director at Temple Enterprise and along with that he is also reported to be holding a 60% stake in Kusum Finserve.

Notably, Shah expressed his aspirations of taking the sport of cricket to the global level after being elected as the new ICC chairman.

“I want to assure you that I will do everything possible to elevate the standard of our game across the globe. As I step into this pivotal role, I am resolutely committed to meeting your high expectations and dedicating myself to the beautiful game of cricket,” said Shah through an official BCCI statement.

“With cricket poised to make its historic debut at the Olympics in 2028, we stand at the precipice of a transformative era. This juncture is not merely a milestone, it’s a clarion call for all of us involved in this magnificent sport. It is my privilege to lead the ICC during such an exciting period in our shared journey,” he added further.
