Hindustani Bhau Files Complaint Against Farah Khan Over Derogatory Remarks About Holi
Farah Khan has landed in controversy after Hindustani Bhau filed a criminal complaint against her for allegedly making derogatory remarks about Holi.

New Delhi: Bollywood director and choreographer Farah Khan is in the news after a criminal complaint was filed against her for allegedly making disrespectful statements about the Hindu holiday of Holi. The lawsuit was filed today at Khar Police Station.
Controversial Statement By Farah Khan
The complaint was filed after Farah Khan made a comment on Celebrity MasterChef on February 20th. In that episode, she called Holi "a festival for the Chhapris," a word that is considered insulting and casteist. The remarks made by Farah Khan had a deep effect on Vikash Fhatak aka Hindustani Bhau's religious feelings as well as the Hindu society as a whole.
In the complaint, Hindustani Bhau's advocate Ali Kaashif Khan Deshmukh said, “My client states that this comment made by Farah Khan has insulted the religious sentiments of Hindus. The use of the term ‘Chhapris’ to describe a sacred festival is highly inappropriate and has the potential to cause communal tension.”
The complaint reads, “The incident involves Ms. Farah Khan, a prominent Bollywood filmmaker and choreographer, who recently made a highly derogatory and offensive remark against the Hindu festival of Holi. Through this complaint, I seek justice under the provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and request your esteemed office to initiate legal action against Khan for her irresponsible and inflammatory statements.”
The complaint urges the police to take action under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), seeking justice for the alleged inflammatory and irresponsible statement. The FIR has been filed against Farah Khan under sections 196, 299, 302, and 353 of the IPC.
As of right now, Farah Khan, who judges on Celebrity MasterChef, has not spoken publicly about the accusations. However, her statement continues to gain traction, with many criticising her remarks as offensive and divisive.
