Yuzvendra Chahal-Dhanashree Verma Divorce Not Final Yet, Choreographer's Lawyer Calls Out Misinformation
Amidst the Yuzvendra Chahal-Dhanashree Verma divorce saga, the choreographer’s family has dismissed rumours of a ₹60 crore alimony demand, urging media to stop spreading misinformation.

Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife, Dhanashree Verma, a choreographer and social media influencer, have filed for divorce, with Dhanashree’s lawyer confirming that while the proceedings are underway, the separation is not final yet. While social media has been flooded with speculation about the couple, the most striking claim has been that Dhanashree demanded ₹60 crore as alimony. However, Dhanashree’s family has dismissed these claims, stating that they are 'deeply outraged' by the baseless claims.
According to a statement cited in multiple media reports, a member of Dhanashree's family has outrightly dismissed the rumours about the alimony figure and cautioned against 'spreading misinformation.'

“We are deeply outraged by the baseless claims being circulated about the alimony figure. Let me be absolutely clear—no such amount has ever been asked, demanded, or even offered. There is no truth to these rumours whatsoever. It is deeply irresponsible to publish such unverified information, dragging not just the parties but also their families into unnecessary speculation. Reckless reporting like this only causes harm, and we urge the media to exercise restraint and fact-check before spreading misinformation and also be respectful towards everyone's privacy," the statement said.
Chahal-Dhanashree Divorce Still Not Final
Some reports suggested that the divorce had already been finalised, but Dhanashree's lawyers dismissed these claims, clarifying that no official decision has been made yet. Dhanashree's lawyer, Aditi Mohan, declined to comment on the divorce proceedings, stating that the matter is sub-judice and urged the media to fact-check before reporting to prevent the spread of misinformation.
"I have no comments to make on the proceedings, the matter is currently sub-judice. The media should fact-check before reporting, as a lot of misleading information is being circulated," Dhanashree's lawyer Aditi Mohan said in a statement.

Amid all this, both Dhanashree and Chahal posted cryptic messages on their social media handles. Dhanashree posted an Instagram Story with the quote, “From Stressed To Blessed. Isn’t it amazing how God can turn our worries and trials into blessings? If you’re stressing about something today, know that you have a choice. You can either keep worrying, or you can surrender it all to God and choose to pray about everything...”
On the other hand, Chahal wrote, “God has protected me more times than I can count. So, I can only imagine the times I’ve been rescued that I don’t even know about. Thank you, God, for always being there, even when I don’t know it. Amen.”
