Mahakumbh 2025: The Mahakumbh began on Makar Sankranti and will conclude on Mahashivratri. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, bathing in the holy city on this day brings double the blessings.  

The last royal bath will take place on February 26, on Mahashivratri. Before this, there are several auspicious dates for bathing in the Mahakumbh. Check the important dates and timings for a fruitful holy dip.

When To Bathe In Mahakumbh Before Mahashivratri?

The last royal bath of Mahakumbh will take place on Mahashivratri. However, if you are unable to visit Prayagraj on that day, you can also take a holy dip on Vijaya Ekadashi and Phalgun Krishna Pradosh Vrat. These dates are considered highly auspicious for bathing and charity.  

Vijaya Ekadashi falls on February 24, 2025. On this day, take a holy dip in Mahakumbh during Brahma Muhurta and perform an abhishek of Lord Krishna with Gangajal. Offering donations in the sacred city on Vijaya Ekadashi is believed to bring a thousandfold merit and divine blessings from Lord Vishnu.  

Additionally, Phalgun Krishna Pradosh Vrat will be observed on February 25, 2025. Bathing in the Ganga at Mahakumbh on this day is considered highly beneficial. After the bath, worship the Ganga, offer prayers to the Sun God, and perform an abhishek of Lord Shiva with Gangajal.

Mahashivratri 2025 Bathing Muhurat

On this sacred day, taking a holy dip at Triveni Sangam in Kashi is believed to bring Lord Shiva's blessings. It is said to remove hardships, ailments, and negative influences.

  • Brahma Muhurat – 05:09 AM to 05:59 AM (Bathing at Sangam during this time is especially auspicious)
  • Amrit Kaal Muhurat – 07:28 AM to 09:00 AM
  • Shubh Muhurat – 11:08 AM to 12:34 PM
