Three Wagons Of Goods Train Derail In Odisha's Titilagarh Yard, No Casualties Reported
Three wagons of a train loaded with red mud heading to a cement plant derailed in Odisha.

Three wagons of a goods train were derailed Titilagarh yard, in Titilagarh, Odisha at 8:30 pm on Friday night near the railway station. The train loaded with red mud on its way to a cement plant in Raipur in Chhattisgarh.
Soon after the incident, East Coast Railways officials, along with the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Sambalpur, arrived at the site and initiated an investigation into the incident. They got to work to restore the train and determine the cause of the derailment.

While speaking to ANI, Sambalpur DRM Tusharkanta Pandey, said that the incident occurred when the train was leaving from Line 8. “Since the Indian Railways is an organisation that works 365 days and 24 hours, we made sure the main line was restored quickly, so that passengers did not face any issue.”

He said through the main line all the passenger trains were running normally, as per their timing.
When speaking about the goods train which was derailed, he said that all the wagons, except those that came off the rails, were removed. Besides, the Carriage and Wagon (C&W) Department had brought its accident relief equipment had reached the spot and was working efficiently to make sure the wagons were restored quickly.
A similar incident occurred last week when three wagons of a goods train derailed near the platform at Katni Junction in Madhya Pradesh's Katni district. Upon receiving the information about the incident, the railway officials immediately reached the spot and began the restoration work.
