Adani Foundation Launches 'Butterfly Effect' Framework For Women Empowerment

The roundtable served as a vital platform for stakeholders to exchange ideas and gain insights on enhancing the reach and impact of women-centric interventions

The Adani Foundation hosted its first national-level roundtable consultation on February 19, 2025, in New Delhi ahead of International Women’s Day next month. The event gathered key stakeholders to discuss strategies and develop pathways for accelerating women’s empowerment across India.

During the event, the Foundation unveiled its 'Butterfly Effect' framework – a transformative approach designed to address the evolving needs of women throughout their lives, said the company in an official statement.

The roundtable served as a vital platform for stakeholders to exchange ideas and gain insights on enhancing the reach and impact of women-centric interventions. The goal was to foster new collaborations that could scale up the socio-economic empowerment of women across all age groups in India.

The Adani Foundation has implemented numerous targeted interventions to meet the unique needs of women at every stage of life. From infancy to old age, the Foundation ensures continuous support, providing women with the guidance and opportunities needed to improve their socio-economic well-being.

Its approach is comprehensive, focusing on inter-generational improvements that benefit women across all life stages. Rather than relying on charitable distributions, the Foundation prioritises education, nutrition, health security, skill-building, and sustained outcomes through programs that promote self-reliance, agency, and autonomy. With a focus on economic empowerment, the Foundation drives transformation through initiatives in health, education, sustainable livelihoods, and infrastructure that enable women to make informed, independent choices for themselves and their families, claims the firm.

During the event, the Adani Foundation also launched its ‘Supporting Her Exponential Empowerment (S.H.E.)’ Report, a detailed document highlighting the Foundation's ongoing efforts to empower women throughout their lives. The report provides insights into the Foundation's approach and its holistic interventions aimed at empowering women across India.

On the occasion, Dr Abhishek Lakhtakia, Chief Executive Officer of the Adani Foundation, reaffirmed the Foundation's commitment to empowering women, stating, “Our interventions are designed to ensure equitable access to opportunities, promoting growth, well-being, and empowerment at each phase of a woman’s journey. This inaugural roundtable discussion will surely be a stepping stone to further the cause of women empowerment and help expedite outcomes.”

He stressed the significance of collaboration among all stakeholders to create scalable interventions that address the needs of women at each phase of their journey.
