Rahul’s colleague Ishan Kishan after seeing the post came up with a funny reply and commented, "Why is Mr. Rajni doing so extra”.
In the 50-over format, Rahul plays a crucial role in the middle-order batting lineup and also provides the option of wicketkeeping. For the fact that Rishabh Pant is injured after he met a severe car accident in December 2022, Rahul's presence is vital for the ODI squad. Talking about his records, the 31-year-old batter has collected 2,642 runs in 47 Test matches, 1,986 runs in 54 ODIs, and 2,265 runs in 72 T20Is. He also smashed 14 centuries across various formats.
Previously, Rahul came up with an update after he underwent surgery. Initially, he was a part of India’s India's World Test Championship (WTC) final squad but then he was ruled out because of his injury. The BCCI then asked Ishan Kishan to join the Indian team in place of Rahul with KS Bharat being the team's designated gloveman. Rahul also updated his fans once his surgery was done as he thanked the doctors and all the medical staff who took care of him.
"Hi everyone, I just got done with my surgery - it was successful. A big thank you to the doctors and medical staff for making sure I was comfortable and everything went smoothly. I'm officially on the road to recovery now. I'm determined to get back to my best and get back on the field. Onwards and upwards!" KL Rahul wrote in his post.
