His explosive knock proved to be the game-changer, helping PBKS chase down the target with ease and handing five-time champions CSK a crushing defeat.

For Chennai Super Kings, Devon Conway top-scored with a solid 69-run knock before retiring hurt. Priyansh Arya's blazing ton powers PBKS to 219

After electing to bat first, Punjab Kings posted an imposing 219/6 against Chennai Super Kings, thanks to a sensational maiden IPL century from young opener Priyansh Arya.

The 24-year-old lit up the innings with a blistering 103 off just 42 deliveries, reaching his century in only 39 balls -- the joint fourth-fastest in IPL history, tied with Travis Head.

Punjab's innings had a shaky start, losing three wickets for just 54 runs. Prabhsimran Singh departed without scoring, followed by skipper Shreyas Iyer (9) and Marcus Stoinis (4), both dismissed by Khaleel Ahmed. Nehal Wadhera (9) and Glenn Maxwell (1) failed to make an impact, putting Punjab under pressure.

But Priyansh Arya's aggressive strokeplay kept the scoreboard moving, as he launched a counterattack on CSK's bowling unit. His powerful knock included 7 boundaries and 9 sixes.

Late in the innings, Shashank Singh (52* off 36) and Marco Jansen (34* off 19) added crucial runs, guiding Punjab past the 200-run mark with an unbeaten partnership.

For CSK, Khaleel Ahmed and Ravichandran Ashwin claimed two wickets apiece, while Mukesh Choudhary and Noor Ahmed took one each.
