The Indian Premier League Player Auction For 2020 season witnessed 62 players being bought by the eight franchisees out of the 338-player pool in Kolkata on Thursday

The one-day long Indian Premier League players auction for 2020 season culminated in Kolkata on Thursday with 62 players getting sold out of the 338-strong auction pool. While some of the big stalwarts in Glen Maxwell, Pat Cummins, Aaron Finch and Shimron Hetmyer racked in rich moolah, the auction also threw up surprises with seasoned campaigners in Martin Guptill, Colin Munro, Tim Southee and Evin Lewis finding no takers. From an Indian standpoint, Piyush Chawla was the most expensive buy, being fetched at whooping 6.75 crores by Chennai. However, previous IPL campaigners like Yusuf Pathan, Naman Ojha, Staurt Binny were the major names that went unsold.
