Indian star cricketer's wife set to make Bollywood debut

In a recent interview, Jahan stated that she is going to work with director Amjad Khan in her debut film

After putting various allegations on cricketer husband Mohammed Shami, Hasin Jahan is all set to make an entry in Bollywood. Recently she returned to her modelling career and will soon mark her presence on the silver screen.

In a recent interview with the DNAI, Jahan stated that she is going to work with director Amjad Khan in her debut film. Terming this decision more of a necessity than the choice, she informed that she will play the character of a journalist in the film.

“I had to do something to earn a living for myself and my child. I did not have any other option. I was approached by director Amjad Khan for a film to which I agreed. I also need money for the legal fight.”

On the other hand, the director himself has confirmed the development stating that he wanted someone who would convincingly play the role.

“The film is based on a riot which sparks off in Bengal and spreads in different parts of the country. The main characters are two painters. One is a Hindu and the other a Muslim. Jahan plays a reporter who is an important character to bring two together. I had known her for a long time and since the character is a very strong woman with a fighting spirit, Jahan was my first choice as she fits in like a glove.”

As learned from reports, the shooting is likely to commence in the month of October.

Earlier, Hasin Jahan alleged that Shami is planning to tie the knot with another woman just after Eid. She also claimed that Shami’s family had tried to kill her after which the police charged the Indian pacer with charges of domestic violence.
