IND Vs SA 2nd ODI: KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant had the ultimate mix-up that almost led to India's 3rd wicket. Watch how miscommunication can lead to a comedy of errors.

Things were about to go from bad to worse for the Indian team as South Africa missed an easy run-out opportunity when the score was 72/2. 

India was already in a fix after the unprecedented loss of Virat Kohli for a duck. India was 64/2 after Kohli's loss. Rishabh Pant had just walked in to accompany a well-set KL Rahul. 

Then, something happened that shook everyone in the stands and also on social media. 

Take a look at the picture below. Rahul & Pant are stranded at one end, yet none of them are out, thanks to the fumble from Maharaj, who could not collect the throw from Bavuma. Then, Phehlukwayo too fumbled while backing up.
