IND vs BAN, 1st Test: I Was Thinking About The Hat-trick During Tea Break, Reveals Shami
After the end of the day's play, Mohammed Shami revealed that he thought of a hat-trick during the tea break on day 1 of the first Test against Bangladesh in Indore.
Hosts India were in the driver's seat on the opening day of the 1st Test against Bangladesh at Indore courtesy a splendid bowling performance by their bowling unit that saw them bowling out the visitors for a paltry 150 runs.
Spearheading the charge with the red cherry was Indian seamer Mohammad Shami who returned with superlative figures of 3 for 27 in his 27 over spell. The seamer wrecked through the visitors lower middle order after scalping back to back wickets of Mushfiqur Rahim and Mehidy Hasan Miraz and standing a chance of picking up a hat-trick.
After the end of the day's play, Mohammed Shami revealed that he thought of a hat-trick during the tea break on day 1 of the first Test against Bangladesh in Indore.
Shami came really close to becoming only the third Indian bowler after Harbhajan Singh and Irfan Pathan to pick up a Test hat-trick but couldn't enter his name in the elite list.
After the day's play Shami came out with his plans that he executed with clinical precision during his spells and also stated that he was thinking about the hat-trick.
"I came to bowl one change, so I had to think of the conditions and situation. Thought process is to bowl lines that are as tight as possible. I've been using the width of the crease for the last two years. Two in two for @MdShami11 as #TeamIndia head for Tea on Day 1 of the 1st Test with Bangladesh 140/7.
