Here's When ICC Will Release Men's ODI World Cup 2023 Schedule: Report

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will reportedly announce the schedule of ODI World Cup 2023 on June 27 at an event which will begin from 11:30 am onwards in Mumbai.

ICC ODI World Cup 2023, India vs Pakistan: The official schedule of the ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023, set to be held in India later this year, will most likely be released on 27th June (Tuesday). Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have reportedly given its consent to play a World Cup game against arch-rivals India at Ahmedabad cricket ground. Apart from this, Pakistan cricket team will also play a match against Australia and Afghanistan in Bangalore and Chennai, respectively. "It is believed that the schedule of the ODI World Cup 2023 could be announced on June 27 in the event which will be hosted by ICC," news.18.com reported.

After BCCI, ICC rejected Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) demand to change the venue of 2 matches. The first match of the upcoming 2023 ODI World might be played on 5th October. From June 27, the exact 100 days countdown will kickstart for the mega ICC tournament. 

India to square off against Pakistan in Ahmedabad

Earlier, Pakistan refused to play a match in the ODI World Cup 2023 against India at Ahmedabad cricket stadium, demanding to shift this match to Chennai, Bengaluru or Kolkata. Pakistan had cited political reasons behind their demand to drop Ahmedabad as one of the venues for IND vs PAK World Cup match.

It is being reported that both ODI World Cup 2023 tournament opener and summit clash can be played at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium. The tournament might start from October 5 while the final could be played on November 19.

India might clash against Australia in Chennai in their first ICC World Cup 2023 match and later lock horns with spin heavy Afghanistan on October 11 in Delhi before squaring off against arch-rivals Pakistan on October 15 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
