Here's how Prithvi Shaw expressed his happiness after India Test call-up

Shaw was one of the star performers along with Vihari and Mayank Agarwal during India A team's recent tour of the UK.

Prithvi Shaw, the young Mumbai opener, grabbed the limelight after winning the fourth U-19 World Cup for India earlier this year. That was just the beginning of his rise. His successful stint in IPL 2018 followed by the India ‘A’ tours finally paid him back on Wednesday as he found himself in the Indian squad for the England Tests.

After the BCCI announced the squad, the selection of Prithvi and Hanuma Vihari created quite a stir on social media. The 18-year-old cricketer took to his Instagram account to express his happiness. He shared one of his pictures where he could be raising his bat to celebrate one of his first-class centuries.

Here’s the post:

On the other hand, the official Cricket World Twitter handle congratulated the Indian U-19 skipper in style.

Prithvi has scored 1418 runs in 14 first-class games with an average of 56.72 and seven centuries. He was one of the star performers along with Vihari and Mayank Agarwal during India A team's recent tour of the UK.

He scored 188 in a first-class game against West Indies A in Beckenham and recently scored 136 against South Africa A in Bengaluru.

"I am feeling good, what else can I say. I cannot express myself in words. I am confident that India A's recent tour of England will be helpful," Prithvi told PTI on his selection
