Dinesh Karthik Has A Witty Reply To Sreesanth's Allegation

Sreesanth created quite stir by claiming that Karthik has been the person behind his ouster from the Indian cricket team

Former Indian speedster S Sreesanth has a close connection with controversies. After grabbing the limelight on several occasions in the past, the Kerala cricketer is once again in the news following his allegation on wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik. Sreesanth created quite stir by claiming that Karthik has been the person behind his ouster from the Indian cricket team. These allegations sounded pretty bizarre as the latter did not play any major role in the side when it came to personnel and team selection. However, Karthik has finally, responded to the matter saying that it will be ‘silly’ to even react.
“Yes, I have heard about S Sreesanth’s comments that I was responsible for his ouster from the Indian team. Even to react to an allegation like that will be silly,” Karthik said in an interview with The Hindu.
This is not the first time that Sreesanth has given controversial remark openly. He recently admitted to hating Chennai SuperKings and has continuously been in the news for his on and off-field antics. The left-arm pacer remained a vital part of the Indian team until he was slapped with a life ban for his alleged involvement in the 2013 Indian Premier League spot-fixing. After a series of hearings, the BCCI ombudsman ordered his life ban to be reduced to 7 years in August which means he will be eligible to return to cricket in September 2020.
