West Indies Cricket Board has recalled left-hand batsman Devon Smith in the 13-man squad for the Sri Lanka Test series, ending his three-year-long hiatus.

West Indies will lock horns with Sri Lanka for a three-match Test series, scheduled to begin on June 6 in Trinidad.

He has been in a stupendous form in the domestic circuit, smashing 1095 runs at an average of 84.23 for the Windward Islands in the Regional four-day tournament.

The 36-year-old last featured for West Indies in 2015 against England.

Uncapped wicketkeeper-batsman Jahmar Hamilton has also earned his maiden call-up to the national squad, becoming only the second Anguillan, behind Omari Banks to receive the nod, according to an International Cricket Council (ICC) release.

Batsmen Sunil Ambris and Jermaine Blackwood as well as all-rounder Raymon Reifer --who all made it to the West Indies' last Test assignment against New Zealand-- have all been left out of the squad.

Fast bowler Alzarri Joseph, who is currently recovering from a stress fracture in his back, has also not been picked.

Squad: Jason Holder (capt), Devendra Bishoo, Devon Smith, Kraigg Brathwaite, Kieran Powell, Roston Chase, Miguel Cummins, Shane Dowrich (wk), Shannon Gabriel, Jahmar Hamilton (wk), Shimron Hetmyer, Shai Hope, Kemar Roach
