Champions Trophy 2025: Will India Display Pakistan's Name On Their Jersey? Details Inside
Champions Trophy 2025: This year, ICC Champions Trophy is hosted by Pakistan. As per ICC rules, all participating teams must display the tournament logo and the host country's name on their jerseys.

Less than a month remains for the start of ICC Champions Trophy 2025, and a controversy surrounding Team India's jersey has emerged. Speculation initially arose that Pakistan's name might not feature on India's jersey, but the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has reportedly clarified its stance, putting an end to the debate.
BCCI to follow ICC guidelines
This year, ICC Champions Trophy is hosted by Pakistan. As per ICC rules, all participating teams must display the tournament logo and the host country's name on their jerseys.
Responding to the matter, BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia confirmed to Cricbuzz, "We will follow the ICC guidelines. Whatever the ICC instructs, it will be done." Thus, the BCCI has affirmed that Pakistan's name will appear alongside the ICC Champions Trophy logo on India's Champions Trophy 2025 jersey.
How the controversy started
The issue arose because Team India is set to play all its Champions Trophy matches in Dubai instead of traveling to Pakistan. This sparked claims that India's jersey might not feature the host country's (Pakistan) name. However, with the BCCI's announcement, the controversy has been laid to rest.
ICC's jersey rules
According to ICC regulations, the jerseys of all teams in ICC tournaments must include their board's logo, the tournament logo, and the host country's name. Following these guidelines, Pakistan's name will appear on India's jersey during ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
