BCB undecided on Shakib’s request to play UAE T20x

Shakib al Hasan, currently suffering from an injury, is looking forward to make a comeback to international cricket as soon as possible. The unbearable pain and the swelling in his finger during the Asia Cup 2018 forced him to withdraw from the tournament

Bangladeshi star all-rounder participation in the upcoming UAE T20X - a franchise-based T20 event- is uncertain as the Bangladeshi Cricket Board is yet to make a decision whether to give him an NOC to play in the tournament scheduled to take place between December 23 and January 1.

"He [Shakib] has applied for the NOC for the T20 tournament, but a decision is yet to be made," Jalal Yunus, BCB's media committee chairman, said. "It will be taken in a day or two."

According to Cricbuzz, Shakib is likely to be denied NOC as far as his participation in UAE is concerned as the board is reportedly not interested to take any risk with him, considering the status of his injury.
