Afridi thanks Kohli on Twitter

Kohli has donated his bat to Shahid Afridi's foundation . Afridi has expressed his gratitude on Twitter.

New Delhi: No matter how cold the relation of India and Pakistan may become, cricket does not let the warmth to fizzle out completely. Recently, Virat Kohli extended a helping hand to Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi's foundation, which elicited a warm response from the latter. Virat recently donated his bat to the foundation. Earlier, Kohli had also given his jersey to Afridi, when the latter retired from international cricket. In response to Kohli's gesture, Shahid Afridi today expressed gratitude to Virat Kohli for donating his bat for the Shahid Afridi Foundation. "Thank you @imVkohli for your kind gesture in support of @SAFoundationN. Friends & supporters like you ensure #HopeNotOut for everyone," Afridi wrote on his twitter handle, attaching a picture of the bat.

The Shahid Afridi Foundation that goes on with the tagline 'helping  children make a better world' and with a motto of 'Hope-Not Out', is a non profit organisation run by the international cricketer.  The aim of the organisation is to provide healthcare, education and sports facilities in Pakistan and across the world. The shirt, which fetched Rs 3 lakhs at an auction in London, had a message from the Team India captain, saying, "To Shahid Bhai, best wishes, always a pleasure playing against you".
