Vrat Paran (Breaking the fast) Time: The fast can be broken between 1:12 PM to 3:18 PM on November 27, 2024. The end of Hari Vasar (a specific time for breaking the fast) will be at 10:26 AM on November 27, 2024.

Utpanna Ekadashi marks the first appearance of the Ekadashi Tithi, which began on this day from the body of Lord Vishnu, according to mythology. The Story Behind Utpanna Ekadashi:

The legend of Utpanna Ekadashi dates back to a fierce battle between Lord Vishnu and a demon named Mura. During the battle, Lord Vishnu, exhausted from the fight, took refuge in a cave at Badrikashram for rest. Mura followed him there with the intention to kill him. However, from Lord Vishnu's body, a goddess emerged and killed the demon, Mura. Delighted by the goddess's valor, Lord Vishnu named her Ekadashi and, since she appeared from his body, the day became known as Utpanna Ekadashi.
