First Bada Mangal On May 13 — Follow These 7 Remedies To Overcome All Obstacles

Bada Mangal – the most significant day dedicated to Lord Hanuman's worship. Special rituals performed on this day are believed to quickly attract the blessings of Bajrangbali.

Worshipping Lord Hanuman, the devoted follower of Lord Ram, is believed to eliminate all forms of negativity and misfortune. Especially during the Tuesdays of the Hindu month of Jyestha — known as Bada Mangal — prayers to Bajrangbali are said to bring immense blessings and remove life’s obstacles. In 2025, there will be five Bada Mangals during Jyestha month, with the first falling on May 13, 2025.

Auspicious Remedies To Perform On This Sacred Day:

  • For Planetary Troubles (Saturn, Rahu, Ketu):
If you’re facing issues due to Saturn (Shani), Rahu, or Ketu, such as frequent distractions from your goals or involvement in bad company, it is advised to recite the Sundarkand at home on Bada Mangal. Offer boondi (sweetened gram flour pearls) to Lord Hanuman and feed the prasad to the affected individual after the recitation. This is believed to remove negative influences.
  • For Family Prosperity:
To bring happiness and prosperity into the home, chant the following mantra:
    “Markatesh Mahotsaha Sarva Shoka Vinashan।
Shatrun Sanhar Mam Raksha Shriyam Daapaya Me Prabho॥”
Chanting this on Bada Mangal is considered highly beneficial.
  • Protection from Negative Energies:
The southern direction is believed to be governed by Yamaraj (the god of death), and offering prayers to a south-facing idol of Hanuman on this day helps ward off fear, worries, and difficulties. This practice also protects against evil spirits.
  • To Overcome Fear and Supernatural Disturbances:
If someone is troubled by negative energies or supernatural forces, recite Bajrang Baan on Bada Mangal. Additionally, offer a red flag (lal dhwaja) at a Hanuman temple.
  • For Starting a New Business:
Planning to launch a new venture or expand an existing one? Offer a sindoori (vermilion-colored) loincloth (langot) to Lord Hanuman on Bada Mangal for success and growth in business.
  • For Parenthood Blessings:
If you’re struggling to conceive despite multiple efforts, donate different items every Tuesday during the Jyestha month. Chant the Hanuman Chalisa seven times with devotion and express your heartfelt wish. Distribute water to the thirsty and consider setting up water stations (pyaau). This is believed to bring blessings.
  • For Debt Relief:
If burdened by debt and struggling financially, chant the mantra:
“Om Kraam Kreem Kraum Sah Bhaumaya Namah”
Recite one full mala (108 times) on Bada Mangal. This practice is believed to remove obstacles to income and attract financial stability.
