Holi is the festival of colours as well as a widespread Indian festival with distinct cultural practices and significance in different regions of the country. While sweets and colours are an important part of the festivities, important roles are also played by home decor and the setting of the house. A great way to induce the Holi feeling in your home is by using essential oil blends that make you feel Holi’s energy, joy, happiness, and relaxation.  

To brighten up your home for Holi, combined lavender, sandalwood, jasmine, and rose essential oils into colourful Holi themed scents. The listed blends can be used to bring the holistic aroma of Holi flowers and make your house feel vibrant and alive:

1. Uplifting Floral Spring Blossom Blend  

In commemoration of the onset of spring, we celebrate Holi, and sandalwood will be a great fit to bring warmth due to it being a higher noted flower. Floral fragrances are the ideal choice for sultry spring.  

Required Ingredients for Blend:  

• 5 drops of Jasmine Oil                                                                         
• 4 drops of Rose Oil  
• 3 drops of Lavender Oil  
• 2 drops of Sandal Wood Oil  

Technique of Usage:

Put the blend in an essential oil diffuser and the lavender will make sure to bring a welcoming floral atmosphere to your house.  

2. Citrus Energy Enhance Blend  

Sweet citrus fragrances help maintain high energy levels which are essential during long Holi celebrations.  

Required Ingredients for Blend:  

• 5 drops of Sweet Orange
• 4 drops of Lemon Oil
• 3 drops Grapefruit essential oil
• 2 drops Peppermint essential oil  

How to Use:  

Mix with water and spritz around your home for an instant refresh.  

3. Festive Spice Blend (Warm & Comforting)  

Blend Ingredients:  

A warm, spicy aroma is excellent to create a cozy, festive atmosphere during evening get-togethers.  

• 5 drops Cinnamon essential oil  
• 4 drops Clove essential oil  
• 3 drops Ginger essential oil  
• 2 drops Cardamom essential oil  

 How to Use:

Also, use in a diffuser or combine with coconut oil for application as a natural festive perfume.  

4. Herbal Harmony Blend (Calming & Soothing)  

Following an energetic Holi celebration, relax with a soothing herbal blend.

Blend Ingredients:  

• 5 drops Eucalyptus essential oil  
• 4 drops Tea Tree essential oil  
• 3 drops Basil essential oil
• 2 drops Frankincense essential oil 

How to Use:  

For an aromatic steam therapy session, add a few drops to a bowl of steaming water.  

5. Sweet Treat Blend (Dessert-Inspired & Nostalgic)

Sweet and nostalgic, this blend is inspired by Holi sweets like gujiya, thandai, so it has a sweet, creamy, indulgent flavor.  

Blend Ingredients:

• 5 drops Vanilla essential oil  
• 4 drops Cardamom essential oil
• Nutmeg essential oil: 3 drops  
• Coconut essential oil: 2 drops    

Instructions:  

Diffuse in the kitchen or living room so that the scent of festive treats fills the home.
