Date And Benefits Of Observing The Amalaki Ekadashi Fast Before Holi

Amalaki Ekadashi 2025: In the month of Phalgun, Amalaki Ekadashi holds special significance before Holi. It is the only Ekadashi where Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva, and Goddess Parvati are worshiped. On this day, in Kashi, devotees celebrate Holi with colours along with Gauri and Shankar.

Amalaki Ekadashi 2025

The Ekadashi of the Shukla Paksha in the month of Phalgun is known as Amalaki Ekadashi and Rangbhari Ekadashi. In 2025, Amalaki Ekadashi falls on March 10. The Ekadashi tithi of the Shukla Paksha in Phalgun month will begin on March 9, 2025, at 7:45 AM and will end on March 10, 2025, at 7:44 AM.

Amalaki Ekadashi Puja Muhurat

On Amalaki Ekadashi, the auspicious Amrit Kaal for puja is from 6:36 AM to 8:05 AM. After this, the Shubh Choghadiya is from 9:34 AM to 11:03 AM.

Vrat Parana – The fasting conclusion for Amalaki Ekadashi will be on March 11, 2025, between 6:35 AM and 8:13 AM. On this day, the Dwadashi tithi will end at 8:13 AM.

The Divine Benefits Of Worshipping And Donating Amla Tree

The Amla tree is considered sacred. According to Padma and Vishnudharmottara Purana, Lord Vishnu holds it dear, and Goddess Lakshmi also resides in it. Worshipping the Amla tree and donating amla after Amalaki Ekadashi is believed to yield the same merit as donating a thousand cows. It is said to remove diseases, nullify doshas, and resolve financial difficulties.  

On Amalaki Ekadashi, after offering water to the Amla tree, applying its soil to the forehead is believed to bring double success in endeavors and eliminate workplace challenges.
