IN PICS: World’s Largest Sand Hockey Stick On The Banks Of Mahanadi River

The 105-foot-long sand sculpture was created by eminent sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik on the occasion of the ongoing FIH Men's Hockey World Cup 2023 in the state of Odisha.

Pattnaik had created the 105-foot-long sand sculpture with 5,000 hockey balls on the banks of Mahanadi River in Cuttack on the occasion of the ongoing Men's Hockey World Cup in the state. (Image Credit: Hockey India)

"I feel very happy to get this certificate from World Records India," Pattnaik said. Meanwhile, India won their first Pool D encounter against Spain 2-0 before playing out a goalless draw against England.
