By virtue of this feat, Afridi joined likes of Imran Khan and Wasim Akram in elite list of Pakistani bowlers with 300 wickets in international cricket.

Wasim Akram holds the record for taking most wickets for Pakistan in international cricket. Akram finished his career with 916 wickets.

Following Akram closely behind is legendary Waqar Younis, who dismissed 789 batsmen. Imran Khan, 3rd in this list, concluded his remarkable career with 544 wickets.
