India star Yashasvi Jaiswal, on Saturday (February 24), became only the 5th Indian to score 600 or more runs in a Test series.

India star Yashasvi Jaiswal, on Saturday (February 24), became only the 5th Indian to score 600 or more runs in a Test series.

The 24-year-old left-handed batter achieved the feat during the second day's play of IND vs ENG 4th Test match in Ranchi.

Jaiswal, who made his national debut vs West Indies last year, attained the feat in his 7th innings of the ongoing five-match IND vs ENG Test.

In India's first innings in the 4th Test, Jaiswal got out on 73 off the bowling of Bashir. His innings included 8 boundaries and one six.

Jasiwal's crafty innings (73) made him only the third Indian batter in Test cricket history to score at least 600 runs against England.

The milestone helped Jasiwal join the likes of Virat Kohli and Rahul Dravid.

Rahul Dravid was the first player ever to achieve this feat back in the 2002 series, while Virat Kohli accomplished it during the 2016/17 series.
