Babar Azam becomes the 2nd fastest batsman to score 3,000 ODI runs

James Neesham and Colin de Grandhomme's 132-run stand for the sixth wicket helped New Zealand post 237/6 in their World Cup group match against Pakistan in Birmingham on Wednesday.

Babar has scored 9 hundreds and 14 half-centuries during this period which indicates that he is emerging as a strong player in his early career.

The previous fastest Pakistani batsman to score 3,000 ODI runs was Inzamam-ul-Haq (87 innings).

Babar Azam has been making runs with an average of more than 50 in ODIs, which is a win-win deal for the Pakistani team.
