Preetha Ganesh, daughter of prominent producer and educationist Ishari K Ganesh, tied the knot with Lushvin Kumar in a grand traditional wedding held in Chennai on Friday.

Preetha Ganesh, daughter of prominent producer and educationist Ishari K Ganesh—founder of Vels Institute of Science, Technology & Advanced Studies (VISTAS)—tied the knot with Lushvin Kumar in a grand traditional wedding held in Chennai on Friday.

The ceremony witnessed a glittering turnout from the Tamil film industry, with several Kollywood celebrities coming together to bless the couple.

Ahead of the wedding, a vibrant sangeet ceremony was held on Thursday evening. Actor Suriya was seen attending the event and was all smiles as guests danced to Kanimaa, a song from his recent film Retro.

A video clip from the celebration captured Suriya enjoying the performances, while later photos showed him warmly congratulating the couple. He also posed with Ishari Ganesh and gifted the duo a beautiful floral bouquet.

The wedding itself turned into a who’s who of the Tamil film world. Industry legends like Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan made their presence felt, joining other big names such as Sathyaraj, C Sundar, Mani Ratnam, and Gautham Vasudev Menon.

The guest list also included Ravi Mohan and Kenishaa Francis—who twinned in gold—along with filmmaker Adhik Ravichandran, actors Vikram Prabhu, Aditi Shankar, Vetrimaaran, and veteran actor Prabhu. Many of the guests attended the function with their families, adding to the familial warmth of the occasion.

Ishari K Ganesh is the son of late actor and politician Isari Velan. In 1992, he established Vel’s Educational Trust in his father’s memory, which later evolved into the renowned VISTAS.

As a film producer under the banner Vels Film International, he has backed several successful Tamil films such as Devi, Comali, Enai Noki Paayum Thota, Kutty Story, Mookuthi Amman, and Joshua Imai Pol Kaakha.

He currently has multiple projects in the pipeline, including Sumo, Dayangaram, the Ravi-starrer Genie, and Mookuthi Amman 2 starring Nayanthara.

In 2024, he also produced the Hotstar series Chutney Sambar. Besides his production ventures, Ganesh has appeared in films like 2.0 and Ninaikkaadha Naalillai. (All Image: X)
