Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal took to social media to celebrate a milestone — 10 years since the release of his debut film Masaan. The Uri star reshared a post by Prime Video on his Instagram Stories, which featured a montage of his memorable scenes from the film alongside co-star Richa Chadha.

The OTT platform captioned the post, “10 saal kisi rail jaise guzar gaye #10YearsOfMasaan.” Vicky added a simple yet heartfelt note: “10 years.”

Released in 2015, Masaan marked both Vicky Kaushal’s acting debut and filmmaker Neeraj Ghaywan’s directorial debut. The film, also starring Richa Chadha, earned critical acclaim for its raw and emotional storytelling.

The drama premiered in the Un Certain Regard section at the Cannes Film Festival, where it won two awards. It was later showcased at the first New York Dalit Film and Cultural Festival, alongside acclaimed films like Pariyerum Perumal, Kaala, and Fandry.

Over the years, Masaan has attained cult status, celebrated for its nuanced exploration of grief, love, and social challenges.

Set in Varanasi, the film followed the intersecting lives of four characters — a low-caste boy in love with an upper-caste girl, a young woman grappling with guilt, a father caught in a moral dilemma, and a child yearning for a family.
