Elon Musk On The Big Screen? Emmy Nominee Ike Barinholtz In Talks To Star

Emmy-nominated actor and comedian Ike Barinholtz is in talks to portray Elon Musk in Luca Guadagnino’s upcoming satire film Artificial.

Artificial will be produced by David Heyman and Jeffrey Clifford of Heyday Films, alongside Jennifer Fox.

The film will explore the high-stakes world of artificial intelligence and is written by Simon Rich, known for his sharp and witty storytelling.

Barinholtz is expected to star alongside Andrew Garfield and Oscar nominee Yura Borisov in the film’s ensemble cast.

The storyline reportedly draws inspiration from the real-life events at OpenAI in 2023, including CEO Sam Altman’s temporary ouster and reinstatement.

Andrew Garfield is rumoured to play Sam Altman, while Borisov may portray Ilya Sutskever, a key figure in the OpenAI drama.

Elon Musk, whom Barinholtz might play, co-founded OpenAI in 2015 but left in 2018 following strategic differences.

Ike Barinholtz is known for his work in MADtv, The Mindy Project, Neighbors, Suicide Squad, Blockers, and recently earned an Emmy nomination for The Studio.
