Sharmin shared the pictures with the caption that drew inspiration from her dialogue in Heeramandi, " "Ek baar dekh lijiye, deewana bana dijiye, jalne ko hain taiyyar hum, parwana bana dijiye."

She captioned the post, "Ek baar break lijiye, ice cream kha lijiye, swimming karne ko hai taiyyar hum, neela neela paani dikha dijiye."

Sharmin's comment section was turned off due to the persistent trolling she got after Heeramandi.

Despite the substantial screen time her role offered, viewers were largely unimpressed with her performance, criticising her "expressionless" acting.

This sparked a wave of internet dissection, suggesting that her performance hampered the final cut of Heeramandi.

This isn't the first time Sharmin has taken a lighthearted approach to criticism.

Recently, she reunited with co-stars Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, and Aditi Rao Hydari for a promotional video for Heeramandi.

In a subtle response to critics who labeled her acting as "dead," Sharmin delivered a barrage of exaggerated expressions and even threw herself into water at one point.

In a conversation with India Today, the actress spoke about the support she got from her co-actors post Heeramandi release, specially Aditi Rao Hydari and Richa Chadha.

About the trolling she said, "“I think it’s unfair to judge or label someone a bad, rude, or disrespectful person without knowing them. I think it’s unfair, and it bothers me in some ways.
